This is short story

I once had a time in a prayer meeting, in it a church had gathered around to read a book and afterwards huddled in groups to pray about the needs of the community and the issues mentioned in the book reading. There were so many that prayed and prayed on and on. … It sis true that when one prays it is with the presence of heaven listening to the language of the heart. God knows the very language of the heart and the issues that each faces in life. We do not need to persuade God. Asking God to bow down, or to dictate to God just what is it we need. God knows the needs, All we need is to praise God for his listening ear and Talk to him as he is right there close, always knowing just what we have heard and what problems we have to solve. It is an on going conversation with him.
When we think of the Garden we have, we assume that it grows all by itself, without our involvement. NO, NO. it is that the Gardener is always checking and thinking always the needs or improvements we can make to enhance the growth or yield. In same way God is constantly in tune with us more than we think. We are contained in him.
In Collotins 1: it is said that God contains or hold all things together. In another way, God contains all the universe that we are a part of. He can be one place and yet be all over everywhere. We should not just limit God to one size or at any time or place but to say he “IS”.
HE is mercy, He is grace, and he is love. Infinitely in all directions and dementions. And he will not age or diminish during any length of time.
He does hate in that he hates sin. The breathing out of sin is with the breathing in of god.
The garden breaths in the air of OXYGEN and breaths out Carbon dioxide. If at any time we try to hang onto the carbon and not breath out all the carbon, we end up poisoning ourselves and out soul.
The soul is; The soul’s purpose is to hold the spirit or the nature of the created. Without the soul the body dies, Without the soul of the Church the church dies, or it is very weak and is betting weaker. If the soul is fed by the spirit of God and the soul of God that Jesus prayed for us. we grow. We must constantly feed or we weaken our relationship with God, which is our soul.
The Plant’s life force is in the water and the sun. It is not of itself and cannot ever be. It praises the sun by blooming, and the bloom praises by giving out a fragrance. It is music in the ear of those the farmer lives with. He is gittish with delight when coming back from visiting the garden and he smiles a certain grin. His wife knows that The farmer has seen his garden blossom and the fragrance she smells is from the garden he walked through. The gardener not just looked at it, but he has lavished in the atmosphere of the blossoms.
Is God being a Gardener in your life ? Is he the cause of your improvements you have achieved this week, or today?
It is not too much to ask, Can you find the Hymns of other gardens, Can you look up the joys other hymns writers wrote about their relationship with the Gardener. For there is one gardener, we are all in God’s garden. We are all related. But not all has keeped thir eyes on the light or believes in the light. thus not all bloom. or have any fragrance. And then one day those plants must be uprooted and throne away.
Please do not let God uproot You.

Egg Shells and the hidden life

It was  a startling discovery when I tried to burry the egg shells into my bag of nursery top soil. The joy came when I fed it to my Alo-vera plants in cold weather indoors. There was no discoloring, no wilting and with some sprinkles of epsom salts, There may be a blossom by January.

The soul of a plant is its Photo electric enzymes that react to the sun. We react to The light that shines in the same way. Vitamins D3 helps in the establishment of Calcium. Not just in the body but It is well understood that when Iron, Calcium, Magnesium, Phosphorus , and  Then sun, brings out the absorption of hidden trace minerals in the soil.  It surrounds the seed and there is sprouting due to tormenting of the shell. the filling up of the stem inside extends the tube to …. as it seems like a balloon. only the balloon has rubber, the plant just starts to expand and move enzymes up to the tip of the first lead and then it must be empowered by trace minerals to expand its borders, explore more possibilities and more horizons.  This path is taken by wild or house hold plants.

I want you all to know. when I started out to have this blog, It was with the  chance of telling the truth about, God and his approach with mankind. And how growing plants is just a excellent  way of describing how God deals with man.

It wow’s me into seeing not just the miracle of life, but it directs us to understand, “If one has to receive life eternal, one must take on the throwing away of every effort  in  directing our own lives. we are helpless as much or more than plants. The Gardener is Christ.

There is a soul we have, it generates the spirit of who we are as spirit beings. We are not just flesh and bones, we do not have just a beating heart. We have what keeps our heart beathing and our brains functioning. This soul was first breathed into us by God. It made us more than animals, and plant forms.

Without this soul within the worshiping God we have just the words, and the games within the gathering of people. We have not a clue as to the role God plays in our life. It says,”In the beginning there was the word, and the word was light. The soul of life is God. Without him we have not the clue as to where or how to extend life beyond this one.

it is so critical that we know God and have a right concept of him. It was said, ” a Church will not grow higher than their concept of God.  if we perceive God as one we are chums with, if we direct our sermons to  secure a right friendship with the members, We steer wrong the salvation of the flock. instead of stating the vital truths of what God ,wanted the first Church to know and sendoff. A lot of churches go on and on describing  the joy of where we are than how do we go farther on.

I suggest we send daily in God’s invited presence. God is there but we must acknowledge him in all things. I want to tell you all that we are in the state of sin much worse than Sodom and Gamorah . We are surrounded with sin. We must be with God in the world or we are dead. Miserable, poor, blind, and naked. We are in need of the Eye sauce. We are most like Paul in Romans 7and 8. I cannot reach God, But with the spirit Christ promised us we can have a sure hotline to the heart of /god. With the heart of God we have also the mind of God. Unlimited. But not without God’s strength.

We overcome all the heaviest of any obsticals by the indwelling of the spirit  Like the smallest of all seeds, The mustard seeds  gains its place and ends up breaking up foundations stronger than boulders. Gods promises is founded upon no stronger than, “It does not return to be void “.

The easiest way  to say  God is to say , we and the universe is contained inside God. and yet He is in one place when he chooses to be. We should not put God in  a straight Jacket.
God should not be seen as limited to one form, He is in his worm as well as he is within or near another person on the distant galaxy in the heart of the distant child of that planned.

We are held in His hands like a tender flower or a small bunny. we are much more  than an animal but to God we are His image in his likeness of his thoughts. He bends down, no, He listens  when we speak or when we do not speak. He knows the heart. and pleads to have that heart yearning for him instead of life on earth.  The ar all connected,  There is one Father, Thus one family.  Even the trees are family to each other, but we are like one another. … We must trust God or we will not know him. Trust beyond reason. Just the truth. Truth as in promises of Love. Seek him, and fill in the missing parts of our perception.

We are blind now, but face to face we will see him face to face. Those scars, those marks in his foreheads. It was for a life we were bought from. We were all transplanted into his garden, and not the world. not the domain of Satan’s host. We are Christ or we are Dead.

A chance to grow

Christ went ahead and told a parable. … A certain man had a fig tree planted in his vineyard; and he came and saught fruit thereon, and found non. Then said he unto the dresser of his vineyard, Behold , These tree years I come seeking fruit on this fig tree and find none: cut it down> why cumbereth it the ground? And he answering saidunto him, Lord, Let it alone this year also, till I shall dig about it, and dung it: And it bear fruit, well; and if not, then after that thou shalt cut it down, Luke 13;6-9 …

What that said to me is a mercy upon that fig tree. what ever happened to that tree that it did not bear fruit is a mystery. As far as I know the care of that tree from the start, was not done. Taking time to feed the soil, from season to season. Laying straw down so during the winter or hibernation time it may keep the soil moist and worms may be growing in spring. The choicest of flowers may be placed out in the grove in early spring so the bees may start bringing on Pollen. Pollen is very important to help bring on blossoms so that the fruit has a chance to be born.

The Caretaker Christ mentioned was those Prophets raised up in Jerusalem to care for the Light of truth shinning upon God’s Children. Those That never bowed the knee to Bail. Also the Parable in Luke was for the ears of the Pharisees who had not the fruits of Heaven upon their lives.

Back in History, Noah was there when God was angry that he created man. And another time when Moses was told by god that they had made a molten image while the people was awaiting for Moses to come down from the mount, And Both times the man of God spoke up and made intercession for the righteous. These are thy people who bow not to any God’s or rebel’s agaist God for reasons of living like Egyptians: worshiping Idols or turning from knowing God.

It would be easier for a fig tree to try to grow a fig without taking the nutrients of the soil. Mankind cannot make their selves righteous and good without God.

In the parable  the dung that was mentioned was this Manure like stuff that is placed upon the roots and branches. in the time, that substance is directly feeding the plant. Another quick miracle is made when a seed is placed in a clay ball moistened and left in the sun.

Let me ask, Can a seed make roots without water ? We are made. Not by ourselves. We are not evolved into a being that can change his own course of growth. We are under the eye of a magnificent creator. Larger than we know, or ever will conceive to know. We are told that Job was told By God,

Jobe 38.  Then the Lord answered Job out of the whirlwind, and said: Who is this that darkeneth coundsel by words without Knowledge?  Gird up now thy loins like a man: for I will demand of thee, and answer thou me, Where wast thou when I laid the foundations of the earth? declare, if thou hast understanding,, Who hath laid the measures thereof? or who laid the corner stone thereof;  when the morning stars sang together, and all the sons of God shouted for joy?

It gets stronger, then Job said, Job 42:6 Wherefore I abhor myself, and repent in dust and ashes. ….  We so would be lucky to say that. To be told off by God for assuming to know anything at all. This God who has made the stars by the speed of light, and formed the water on billions of planets, And we are questioning that God does not exist ?

Ok, If God does Exist, then there is a need for mankind to learn of him and be told about his principles of life. What are they and if we can be brought into assurance that we can stand on, sleep with, and be on the fire for a God that we can love. Right? Did I capture it, People ?

God has been trying to reach us in each millenniums and our rush-hour traffic life we live. Darkness seams to seep into things when we least suspect it. When we are caught up in our own worries and family. Yes family takes up time that we must have to seek God. For God is always trying to reach us.

In the internet I recently found a Audio Book on PRAYER AND PRAISE. iT WAS A WOWW THING. “God Listens”. Praying with passion and power. take it and be blown away. … Now if you are not blown away. Remember that a life time of movies, angry shouts, Father, Mother, sisters, and the weeds that choke. It is the very life of Goodness, The stuff that makes us grow, The naming of God without cursing his name in a angry mood. It is a clean love of life that must be inside to be able to listen to this book. Those who realy cry out to be taught on how to change.

Like I said, This audio book was there on my amazon pad and I took it, later I had a loosing battle  with stuff. and I turned to the I-pad and there was  chapters after chapters on reaching out to God. When we think God is the last on the list, God seems to say, at least “I am on the list”.

Me tell you another time when I was about to toss the pencil and eraser out for good. The Paints I had been given was about to dry and be tossed into the garbage. When a Friend had called up and liked what I had done to a picture years ago. He wanted to hire me to draw his conversion day. His time with God when he gave God a chance and God came out with two seats vacant in a crowd. It shown to him with a little light through a distant window. His wife and him sat there and listened to a sermon. That when it was all over he gave himself to God.

Countless testimonies come up in any year;  Where someone left alone after a storm, sits alone in the rubbish of a home he knew just yesterday. All is gone. Or a drunk became a good father when he was saved form Acoma and woke up with a smile on a child’s face, words of “Hi daddy”.

Now God is coming in clouds of Glory. as the bible says he will. ( Thesalonians, and Revelations 20,21. ) . If that is a lie and He is this fictitious person from crazy folks in all of history. Then we have not a worry about anything. But If it is true, and miracles happen , and the world will be made new. Then we must make the bible a word from a Lover God instead of a nice story book.    .. It is a map book, A Recipe Book, A ongoing journal of Wisdom that no university can ever disagree with. It represents the core of how to grow vegetables, and how to listen to the heart of others. Christ did it with finesse. But he did it by the spirit of His father.

Here is another (Look up this link) idea I found. It was when I needed to load up my new computer with bible and this one came on. A testimony from a Trauma  Surgeon  who told of Christ and the suffering he did in the Garden of Gethsemane and on the way to the cross and last when Christ hung on the cross. WHAT PAIN, WHAT LOSS AND WHAT SUFFERING HE BORE. AND FOR WHAT. “What did this means to the Surgeon? and what did it mean to the watcher ?… Its on You tube. Watch it. It will be a strong impression.   To me it means the removal of many weeds of this world. Weeds that have come in by the way of TV and programming of music and entertainment. All that is weeds that choke out God, Brings in love of MONEY and the LOVE of Sex more than the love of Giving love when no one wants or deserves it. It is “AGOPE love” undeserved, Un-merited, and everlasting. It was from God the Father and The son, from the beginning, and is that what makes – – “something out of nothing”.  Accept it, Do not try to affirm its existence.  It is like trying to fathom how the human eye is formed Trillions of times in the years of this earth. How ?    ………….. Lets just say, ” Do not pollute it with questions, But make sure you pass it on like Christ did. From the cross to the angels he rose with. ” He is with us for ever.

We then question, What is suffering all about ? It is learning the lessons of wrong  and the turning of the life to the gardener. God is saying, ” I see the plant that it has fruits. I will harvest all that believes in me. ”  The darkness is on the earth and we are not to look at the darkness or we will be weeds instead of fruit bearing plants. Do not grow thorns and make a mess of life around you. It is not Heaven bound. It is Earth bound. This world will end. Lets be with family of God, shall we ?

Love from a fellow gardener and beginner artist ( of heaven I hope ) . Norm.

A Father of wonder

It was a cold night, just before the new year, a couple of people had entered into the lobby of a Hotel Inn, They seamed worried about the starting  days of the new year and had not found a room to sleep or a place to travel to, because just that month they had lost their home and had managed to keep one token of their former family dwelling.

It will be weird to state it and type it out, but what they found in the rubble was a bible. It was not a check book, nor any bank cards. All that had perished in the flames and flood. They managed to open the bible and read, “Low, I am with you always, even to the end of the world”. They for sure was at their end. Then next was a story of Elisha that had wondered in the wilderness for 7 years and had been fed by ravens and a widow with only a bite of eat.

A little spark started to twitter and sputter in their heart.

The next thing that happened was a old man sitting in the corner got up and walked over to the counter, handed the teller a hand full of money and asked if it can be given to that couple reading that book. As I saw that happened it was as if a unseen hand had been at work.

the couple as in prayer over what they should do and where they should go. Family had been carried away, dead , or had lost their address. For sure it was a time of seeking the hand of God. From one verse to another flooded the minds of the father and opened up the hope of a God that would never let not one hair be lost, or as the bible puts it, “The lost coin . . . The lost sheep….. The protocol son.. there was a party like never their was before “, for what was lost, is found.

It was then the Hotel teller had approached them and gave them the full 50,000 dollars. It was with a promise that their would be sufficient to see them to have a home and food for the winter. The caption on a letter showed why.

It is in the course of time God gives his care from Adam to the Earth made new, to make sure the broken hearted is filled with eternal realities. Promises like Revelation 21:4 “4 and He will 9wipe away every tear from their eyes; and 10there will no longer be any death; 11there will no longer be any mourning, or crying, or pain; 12the first things have passed away.”

The man was assured of this letter and asked who it was that gave this to them ? The teller raced to the door and opened it up and there was not one sound or in-print in the snow. The note went on. “We are family, it is not a worthy act we could ever do or say. Not a time in church we could ever place on God’s approval to be given such grace. Grace is given when we need it the most”.   Yes we could hound God for every little need we have. and yet come to a point that we loose track of our importance in God sight. because we would see God by our standards. let me tell you. God’s love is from a perspective much greater than we could ever attain to.

We are family. We move and grow in our cocoon world and see life of others as stranger we must honor and respect in body and life style. Everyone is different, and by honoring who they are and how other’s perceive life, we take in the time to reflect to never venture into unwelcome ground. We tend to see each other as just that,  “Other’s” instead of Family. Even family is at a distance that we feel we must respect to get along.

Not so with God when as it was a point of heavy decision God had to bring back the purity into hearts again when it was by Satan’s accusations the Question as to the Heart of God vs. God’s justice. … It was by God’s justice The Father sent to earth his son to pay the price to all that would accept and love back God’s Grace, Unmerited favor.

The power of Grace in the heart of God is direct proportion to our need. We were never to exist. and yet we do. He is Father. There is not a God but him, There is no domestic father here on earth who helped in the formation of YOU greater and most involved than The FATHER GOD.

What the old man had done was told over and over in many other stories, yet the fact is WE ARE FAMILY. YOU WILL NEVER BE ALONE IN ANY GIVEN NIGHT, IN A STORM, IN THE LAST DOLLAR, AT THE  FOOT OF A DIEING FRIEND, COUGHING UP BLOOD, FALLING DOWN GASPING FOR BREATH, OR ANY LAST STRAW STORY. WE ARE ASSURED THAT NEITHER “life nor death, nor any creature will come between us and God’s love:”.

What ? you may ask does that make Gardening so important to God. Or in what way does this story or God bring to view another aspect of Gardening ?

It is this. … We do not own anything. The ground is not ours. The sky, sun, stars, and oceans, are not ours. …. We were given these things before we were made in God’s image. It was prepared for our environment. Then It was by time we were given family and many was brought to separate themselves from each other. We grew into being strangers. .. We literally view each other as “Not Family” not bone of my bone, flesh of my flesh.

“OUR image”

Our likeness.

Think:  In order to have stranger’s we do not know walk up and hand us just what we need the most; “Who told that man we needed it”, Christ said “love one another as I have loved you.” do the math. God is ever watching and “Knowing what is in man”.  We cannot hide not one tear, not one light of truth we were given one day, nor one mistake at the office. “HIs eve is ever upon the lives of man”. “The son of man”, and “The son of God”. A bridge. Never a storm will keep his love away. He has “concord death”. Cursed sin in the flesh.  Make sure the path is wide open.

The way seems narrow. yet there is a power to resurrect  all to life. But He will not excuse the wicked. They must confess and forsake sin. Jesus just flames the flames of love as you respond.

BINGO : Flaming the flames of Love. Where did you ever do that to your Girl Friend or Love of your life. Did it work to flame it. Or would It be teetering out if you did not encourage their love.

God encourages love to sprout. He whispers truths and watches the moves of all from birth to old age. God never wants a single person to die without a promised home with him. Yet he will not let one person spoil the universe.

He is father, yet he is our judge.

“Self is of Death”, death comes from not allowing light to shine in. We accept the light, truth, to shine. Love of Heaven must warm and encourage growth. But if we close up the path to others around us. From the needs others have for food, strength, joy, and deeds to be done to, (Who?) Brothers, sisters, Mothers, Father’s, Daughter’s, or son’s. We close up the path of life: (water entering into a pond without an exit, brings stagnation and death.).  Yes we are Family.

We are brother’s to a stranger in the line at the store. We are grandmother’s to children at the laundry shop. We are Father’s to this person who has need of wisdom or love. We are given the task of “Loving like I have Loved you”.  = How did Jesus love us? Outside of himself, He loved us. Him and His father. We can go to him ourselves. We can enter into God’s most holy place. And second He listened to his father tell him what was in man. ” My Father has not left me alone”. ( Not until the cross was that abandoned love of the father realized by the son. ) Willing to lay down our lives for each other.

For years since 8th grade, John had enjoyed the friendship of Sally. He helped her with school work, walks home, and dinners at Christmas. It was not a spoken knowing of how he felt about her. He assumed she knew. … One day she was encouraged to go to collage and leave home. She was exited and yet he went back home kicking himself for not having the words to say how much she ment to him. She came back many a time to see if he was still at home. Time and again she checked up on her friend to make sure he knew she was his friend. .. John had gotten into hard times and had nearly forgot Sally’s visits. His outlook was getting more desperate. .. one day the boss called him in and told he was “Fired for not measuring up to the need’s of the public”. …. John walked away from his car and slowly went home to a one bedroom shack. … As he rounded the corner. Sally cried and ran as fast as she could when she saw her friend kicking dust. … She pulled out from under her blouse a handkerchief and out fell a letter she wrote about John. He read the letter of love and was then in tears. Self did not seam real any longer. What pain of life was wiped away. They joined in arms and held each other. ….. his car was nearly rundown, loosing family and friends, breaking all expectations of other’s, and last sinking into deep depressions by alcohol. John struck bottom. then came Sally around the corner.

They both was at an end. She had worked close to the air port and when she finally finished collage, she went back one last time to see John. She was at a pass -road in and wanted John to know her love. She never quieted the prayers to God for John’s returning Love. Mother’s and little old people in the city knew that this couple was bound to be. And yet John was wondering over and over to his own self. Self was well  in control. He held out the light of truth Sally was giving out.

Like vitamins have it in the body. Vitamin E helps encourage Calcium. So does Vitamin C and B12. Without Magnesium Calcium would be hard to absorb. Iron in Barley grass or Wheat Grass. Iron in kale and tomatoes they must be eaten whole or enzymes that make up these plants die and will not help function the food they were made to keep life going.

When the children of Israel  was on their way out of Egypt  and as they went, They complained of the food, (we want food of meat and eggs, Food like the Egyptians. God granted them food falling from the sky. As they ate they got sick and dying. God gave Moses to set up a serpent on a cross, when they looked they lived. when they did not look, they did not live. The Cross kills sin. And for the fact the Serpent was once a glorious animal.  It was cursed because of Satan had entered in and used the serpent to make Eve sin.

Do we look, and will we live ? We must look to the Sun and live. Eat the blessings of whole foods. Make every step we must take to surround ourselves with the atmosphere of God. He props us up and make sure there will not be  another Adam in the future. Or Eve.

It is our Garden, but it is all our lives that make sure the growth is under God’s command. He is the Composer , we are just the players. We are grown the talents of love, joy and peace. Hang on to God for dear life.

We are ever given a book. each book is different. and yet all is from the writer. He writes another chapter and we have a chance to forget the past unless it is in relation to our lives today. Grow each other in God’s love.

Love Norman, writer.

Bring down the rain

When God brings rain, it is not seen as a chance that happens, it is by design that there is rain. It is with life on earth that we have the essentials’ of what we need. Rain is the what we need as humans to hydrate our lungs and the keeping moist the leaves on plants that the exchange of oxygen can happen. It was with the design of moisture that when God made man and the earth He thought of a watering system that would keep plants growing and growing.  There was no worries if there were too many aspen starts and over populations of strawberries that would grow like a wild Thyme plants. You know what I mean.

Thyme plants though they are so small in leaves, it may be so sweet in the cooking of meat and potato salad’s, yet they take over rocks and river beds if given the right environment. (Shade, moist soil, a the invisible helpers we do not see. And then the simplest seed can sprout in that thyme patch. thyme can choke out the seeds or can make sure there is enough moisture for the seed to live on.

I was shocked on time when I saw a apple tree growing in a dessert dry river bed, just because there was a blossoming cactus growing just beside it. One was feeding on the moisture of the other, and the cactus was blossoming because the shade and sweetness of the apple tree. They were sharing the roots that were going some 50 feet in the ground.

Now it was another time I saw an old peach tree that was taken over by an aspen start, that grew up enough to choke out the nutrients needed for the peaches in two seasons to be less and less until there was small and sickly peaches.

Yes I am talking about relationships that can take and rob the strength instead of giving strength or sharing the source of strength that there is. Some plants act as weeds, and others act as helpers. We choose the relationships we attach too.

Now back to Rain. We breath air, and drink water. plants must have water to help breath in the leaves. The very existence of God makes life bearable. We also must breath or drink God so we can take in the spirit of Love, the spirit of Heaven, or as Jesus said to the Pharisees, if you do not drink my blood and eat my flesh you can not have a part of me. = thus, You cannot enter the kingdom of heaven. ( if we do not partake of Jesus and the spirit of falling in-love with him we will be left without the wedding robe of white to enter the kingdom.)

when we give a cucumber plant enough nitrates, water, and 75-85% sunshine we give the needs of the plant what it needs to produce fruits. The pruning and training of the branches bring on room for the growth to take advantage of all possible space for sunshine to every leaf and air keeps away bugs when they need less air and more mildewing moisture to thrive. We keep away danger when we give our relationship the best possible strength needed in being connected to what feeds our hearts and what feeds the heart of God. — yes God needs us to communicate with him just as we need him to strengthen us. —- when in the parable the Virgins and the wedding garment. Jesus told that Here was a guest that had not on the wedding garment. He had entered in  and was exposed. He again told of the foolish virgins that was asleep when the bride groom came. When asking to enter, the virgins were told, “I never knew you”.  —

To know some one. let us go back to the garden of Eden. There Eve knew Adam and she gave birth to a son. ( typo ?)  I know not, but It goes to show, that to know some one means to really know.

then to paint the picture more, Jesus was in the upper room making ready the washing of the feet of his disciples, He quietly done the task and at the feet of Peter, He said, “if I do not wash your feet you cannot have part of me” . And then at the last Jesus sat down and told, ” a servant is not greater than his lord “. , and as you seen me wash your feet, you wash each other’s feet. This brings a full picture then when Jesus said, “to love one another as I have loved you”.

It is so important to water each other by the spirit of Love the Father has for mankind, For by this spirit of love that is unconditional, undeserved, waxes long,  and does not weaken. this love washes ( makes a deep impressionable act or word)   that makes the smile or warmth in the heart of another, building and strengthening the motivation to live. It was from this life of Jesus that comes a spirit, = the sprit or the life force from Jesus father, Yes it was not Jesus that knew what all needed to be said and at the right time. The father gave the spirit  to Jesus in guiding him in speaking words and actions at the right time. ” I can of my own self do nothing, the words I say are not my own, but as the father speaks so the Son speaks. ” The Father has not left me alone.  ===== The Gardener does not leave his garden alone.

God has entrusted to us the gifts or the lesson tools and classroom objects to teach us, and he gives the gifts or graces, in the form of starvation, hurricanes, fire, or flood. He orchestrates the events with family or loss of loves ones, as means of turning our hearts to the source of ever lasting love, everlasting life, and ever expanding universe, to show us there is a life of misery if we look at life here as sin’s landscape. This is sin in this painting. And This if life eternal in this picture you have no idea of.   … ” It is I, I am. the everlasting Son of The Father. There is no other. I am it. (Jeremiah). This is not the last place of life. this is now and there is a Love beyond your wildest imagination.

growth is endless, yet growing plants here is for a time and a season. What do you want. I want Jesus, what ever he is or how ever much it takes to know him. we must know what he knows, or what we know is death. let us be a pilgrim and be not conformed to this world and its views. they are all weeds. …

A Journey of miracles

It is a wonder that there are miracles at all. When the skeptics press that there is no God, and the reasons given are with fruits from a life that may be filled with complaints. Complaints that “If God does exist, why does he allow such suffering?” or If God is fair, then he has to see what I have to face and the issues I must tackle.

I must say He does. I do not place texts from the bible that supports my encouragements but there are swarms of promises of God that clearly puts out a good picture of Love. What I am getting at is God is the only other option to our world. We may be faced with a flood of “Buy this sell that , or come over and enjoy this or that. Ecclesiastics in the bible, Solomon wrote, nothing is new under the sun, what was will be, what will be has already have been. that means what there is on earth is all what we can expect to be in our life. Joys, pains, Loves, anger, struggles, and war, They will always be as we know it.

God alone gives a different picture of our future. Revelation ( the last book of the bible ) Is the last word given from God to man  and it goes in depth as to the end of the world as we know it. It reveals a God who is unhappy about the outcome of life in the whole history of the world.

There was this King of Babylon called Nebuchadnezzar, This kingdom was at that time the biggest and most ruling of all kingdoms in the whole earth. He insisted that He was the one who created this kingdom. He was the most of all, the top perfectionist of all the earth. But God had plans for Him. He took the kingdom away for 7 years and made him with a heart of a beast. Like in the field. His subjects kept the kingdom going for those years and then when time was come. His mind returned to him and He announced God was the only true God, Him only deserves the praise and worship. All things are of him and with out him there is nothing.

Self has been the single thorn in the developments of chaos, war, ruler ships, planning to be # 1 or to have the best. It has been the very center to building a family, building countries, or  just becoming famous. Yet In the bible it states, ( whether there be kindoms, they will crumble, if there be wars, they will end, where there be any selfishness at all, God said if it be not of me they will die away. )  Proverbs, Ecclesiastics, and Revelation states it all together.

Romans goes farther, and it states that in order to change the outcome of life one must die. In luke Jesus said to the Lawyer, ” You must be born again. If there is no rebirth there is a fact. “you cannot have a part of Me” When Jesus told Peter that “Do you love me” or  “What does people say I am ? ” then ” The Father wishes for people to  worship him in Spirit and in truth. This life is to have the spirit of God reborn in the heart. That is impossible ? No. it is possible by the creator. Down in the water and back up in newness of life. God does it by a fact that Justice is fully met when The son of God died a Second Death. It was not untill God raised Jesus from the grave that the fullness of our acceptance was fully realised by all life in the whole universe. Self was not a part of Jesus. Nor in the lives of his deciples or any follower entering heaven. Self must be dead to Follow Jesus. … if it is not a part of you to accept him now, it will be as Jesus continues to woow you into a better understanding of His Love.

We do not have any other choice for eternal life. we have not another miracle worker than him. He alone has plans for you that you could never realise in this life.                                                          And I am just starting on more subjects in this manner

Running From God

[ad_1]

Why do men run from God?  It has been a question with me for years and one I have had the deepest interest in because I cannot understand it and things I cannot understand when it comes to the way people behave have a way of bothering me.  I have always wanted to know why men do what they do.  I have wanted to know how men think and why they think the way they do and thus what motivates a man.   The reality is only God can know for sure for only he can see inside a man and read a man’s heart.  As for you and me the Bible says, “For what man knows the things of a man except the spirit of the man which is in him?” (1 Cor. 2:11 NKJV)

Our best hope for knowing another lies in their willingness to open up to us.  Even then we may end up scratching our head in bewilderment.  They may tell us what they think but do they themselves even understand the processes of the heart and mind that have led them to the point where they are at?

If there be a God (I am not expressing doubt) then by definition of what it means to be God it is clear one could not successfully run from him.  Hear David in the 139th Psalm.

“O LORD, You have searched me and known me.   You know my sitting down and my rising up; You understand my thought afar off.   You comprehend my path and my lying down, And are acquainted with all my ways.   For there is not a word on my tongue, But behold, O LORD, You know it altogether…Where can I go from Your Spirit?   Or where can I flee from Your presence?  If I ascend into heaven, You are there; If I make my bed in hell, behold, You are there.   If I take the wings of the morning,  And dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea,  Even there Your hand shall lead me,  And Your right hand shall hold me.   If I say, ‘Surely the darkness shall fall on me,’ Even the night shall be light about me; Indeed, the darkness shall not hide from You, But the night shines as the day; The darkness and the light are both alike to You.” (Psalms 139:1-4, 7-12 NKJV)

The writer of the book of Hebrews put it this way, “There is no creature hidden from His sight, but all things are naked and open to the eyes of Him to whom we must give account.” (Heb. 4:13 NKJV)  To try and run from God or win a battle against him is utter folly and only shows how foolish man can be to even consider such a thing.

Since man cannot run from God why try?  While we may never know a particular individual’s thinking or motive for attempting to do so the Bible tells us of some who have tried to run from God in past history and gives us their motivation.  Maybe we can learn from that for man has not changed in his human nature since creation.

Adam and Eve were the first to ever try and run from God.  When they sinned in the Garden of Eden by eating of the forbidden fruit, breaking God’s commandment, they attempted to hide from God.  Adam said to God he was hiding because of his nakedness (Gen. 3:10) but that had never been a problem before.  Sin made it a problem and thus sin caused the first man and woman to run from God and try and hide from him.

Every case of running from God or away from God has been caused by sin in a man’s life.  Those who love God and obey his commandments do not run from God.  “For this is the love of God, that we keep His commandments.” (1 John 5:3 NKJV)  God is man’s great benefactor.  Why run from one who is the only one who can bestow eternal life?  There is only one ultimate reason, the fact of sin in one’s life, sin that has not been repented of or forgiven.  Every reason we can list as motives for man’s attempt to run away from God ultimately will in every case come back to the matter of sin in the person’s life.

But what was the reason behind Adam and Eve’s sin?  There are some things here that ought to teach us some lessons.  Eve was willing to listen to someone other than God for guidance.  Eve listened to the serpent.  Adam was willing to listen to Eve.  The world is full of people whose desire it is to get you to listen to them and follow them and their lead not only out in the world but even in what is styled Christendom.  What folly!  The word of God lies in the hands of the man who holds the Bible, there and there only will you find it.  God’s word is the only sure guide man will ever have.

I would dare say that last Sunday the majority by far of those the world calls Christians engaged in a worship service (if they went at all) in which they did at least some things which cannot be found in the New Testament of the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, things that sprang up in some man’s mind once upon a time and that was taken up by a body of believers and has been handed down by tradition through the years as if it came from Jesus’ own mouth.  They placed God’s stamp of approval on those things without a single word from God voicing his approval.  They took it upon their own authority, forget God, to do it and they want you to take their word for it that God will be pleased.  They are sure of it even though God has not spoken.  This is nothing other than pure presumption.  They know it will please God because it pleases them.  The problem is they listened to man to get the practice as Eve listened to the serpent.  If God never spoke of the practice in the pages of the New Testament how can it be of God?  It cannot.

Add to that we are now living in a generation that is outdoing all past generations in finding new ways to worship (?) God, things unimaginable to my grandparent’s generation.  Adam and Eve were God’s children.  Eve sinned by listening to another who was enlightening her so she thought, who knew better than God himself.  We ought to learn a lesson here.  If you cannot quote book, chapter, and verse from the New Testament for your practice or doctrine you have listened to someone other than God.  Adam and Eve did not have a New Testament but they had God’s word.  In our dispensation of time the New Testament is the last will and testament of Christ our Savior and thus God’s word for man to live by until time shall end and Jesus shall return.  Are you listening to it or listening to men and their desires and traditions?

But, why did Eve do that, why did she listen to another?  Because she liked what she heard from the serpent more than she liked what she heard from God.  So the second thing we can learn from Adam and Eve is to not allow our personal desires to guide us.  Always remember it is not what seems good or right or desirable to you or me that counts with God but whether or not we are obeying him by obeying his word.

I know it is our desire to want everybody in Christendom saved and the entire world saved for that matter unless it is for the mass murderers of the world and the world’s most evil people.  But if God is God and he gets to make the rules then his word gets to decide the matter.  John equates Jesus as being the Word in John 1.  If God’s word is good then only a few relatively speaking will be saved whether we like it or not.

Jesus said, “Enter by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it.  Because narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it.” (Matt. 7:13-14 NKJV)  “Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven.” (Matt. 7:21 NKJV)  God’s will is found only in God’s word, not outside it in man’s proclamation.

I don’t know that a man can have too big a heart but I do know our great love for a wife, a husband, a child, a parent, a friend, or whoever can lead us to reject God’s word in order to have them saved.  They will either not accept or obey the gospel or if they have done so go off into false doctrine or apostasy, as the case may be, and we want them saved so badly we start looking at scripture differently.  Suddenly we find the word of God changing and old passages that use to teach us one thing now seem to be teaching us something entirely different.  What has changed?  Has the Bible changed or has it been our heart?  Our great passion for and love for our fellowman can easily result in our rejection of God’s word for the word we want it to be rather than the word it actually is.

Do we think God is unjust in condemning those who will not believe the truth and obey it?  Do we think we love more than God who gave his only begotten son on the cross to die in order to give to man a means of salvation?  Do we think we love more than Jesus who died for us all?  Do we think God is just too strict (I guarantee you many, many, many do)?  However big your heart is I can assure you it is not as big as God’s but do we really expect God to save unrepentant sinners and people who do not love him?  If he did how would heaven be any better than life on earth?

Have you ever thought that perhaps Adam loved Eve just a bit too much?  Did he love her more than he loved God?  Love is a wonderful thing but we must love God foremost.  “He who loves father or mother more than Me is not worthy of Me.  And he who loves son or daughter more than Me is not worthy of Me,” said Jesus. (Matt. 10:37 NKJV)  If this be the case certainly he who loves a husband or wife more than Jesus is not worthy of him either.

The Bible says regarding Adam and Eve’s sin, “Adam was not deceived” (1 Tim. 2:14 NKJV) but Eve was (same verse).  God in speaking directly to Adam in the garden says to him, “Because you have heeded the voice of your wife, and have eaten from the tree of which I commanded you…” (Gen 3:17 NKJV) thus the case with Adam may well have been one of wanting to please Eve more than wanting to please God.

So what lessons have we learned from Adam and Eve?  (1) Sin led them to run from God.  (2) This sin was caused by or the result of listening to the words of another who was not God.  (3) Eve listened to another other than God for she desired the doctrine he brought more than the doctrine God gave.  (4) Love for one’s mate, or for others, even for all of humanity as a whole for that matter, cannot supersede one’s love for God and if it does so it will only result in disaster.  Are you and I immune today from falling into one or more of the same traps?  No, not at all.

Jonah is another example and with little doubt the best known example in the Bible of a man who attempted to run from God.  God sent him to Nineveh to preach against that city’s wickedness.  Jonah did not want to go and do that for fear that Nineveh would repent and God would not destroy its inhabitants but rather forgive them and spare them (see Jonah 3:10-4:2) which is exactly what ended up happening.  The story is well known.  Jonah wanted to see the city destroyed and fearing that preaching God’s message to the people there would end up saving the city he tried to flee from God, got caught up in a storm on the sea, a storm God sent purposely, and was tossed overboard by the sailors to save their own lives.  He was thereafter swallowed by a great fish, a fish that spit him out, after he repented of disobedience to God’s command.

Once again then we have another example of a man running from God because of disobedience to God but this would be a good time to pause and try and get behind the sin of disobedience to see what caused it?  In Jonah’s case the motivating factor was a lack of love for his fellowman?  Indeed, one could call it hate?  He wanted to see the people of Nineveh die, 120,000 of them.  Jonah had a heart problem.

When a person has a heart problem they will want no part of God and will naturally flee from him.  Not every sin is heart related.  One might sin out of ignorance or weakness of the flesh (Peter denying Christ out of fear) but when sin is in the heart man wants no part of God and will seek to run from him.  The heart must be changed to change the man.

Then we come to the rich young ruler we find in the New Testament who thought he wanted to obtain eternal life and came to Jesus seeking an answer as to how to do it.  We find this account in Matt. 19:16-22, Mark 10:17-22, and Luke 18:18-23.  Jesus invited the young man to sell his goods and come follow him.  You know the story.  The young man could not bring himself to do so and we could with correctness say he ran away from God.  Why?  Because he loved his wealth, his money, more than God and eternal life.  He had a heart problem, the love of money.

There is another account found in John of those who ran away from God.  The text says, “Nevertheless even among the rulers many believed in Him, but because of the Pharisees they did not confess Him, lest they should be put out of the synagogue; for they loved the praise of men more than the praise of God.” (John 12:42-43 NKJV)  Again, the problem lies within the heart of the man.  It is man wanting the wrong things out of life leading him into sin and away from God.

Finally it needs to be brought out that the place many run to when they are running from God is to religion itself.  In the example just given the rulers were going away from God but headed out to the synagogue for worship.  In today’s world men will search and search and search to find the denomination that will teach it the way they want to hear it so that Paul’s prophesy finds its fulfillment.  “For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine, but according to their own desires, because they have itching ears, they will heap up for themselves teachers; and they will turn their ears away from the truth, and be turned aside to fables.” (2 Tim. 4:3-4 NKJV)

You tell me what it is you want to hear today and I think I can find you a place to go if you will let me research it just a little.  You can find the doctrine that comforts you in whatever state of sin you are living in and in whatever beliefs you are holding if you will only search around awhile.  You may well end up in a place you do not want to be in the next life but for here and now you can find a place of comfort, a place where they will tell you the lie you are living is nothing other than God’s own truth.

The Bible only teaches one church and one faith and it does not teach a thousand different competing doctrines.   “There is one body and one Spirit, just as you were called in one hope of your calling; one Lord, one faith, one baptism; one God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all.” (Eph. 4:4-6 NKJV)  Churches today have many, many people in them who are in reality running from God but are not willing to admit it to themselves.  They left the old place and came to the new so they could persist in their sin rather than be cleansed from it.

Yes, we can run from God; we just cannot stay hidden from him.  We must give an account.  The day of accounting will be a terrifying day for many for in that day the heart of man will be revealed and we will all have to come clean.  Why did we believe what we believed?  Why did we practice what we practiced?  Was it because of God’s word or was it because we had a heart problem we would not admit to or face up to?  Is your faith and trust in your own heart, in your own mind, in what seems best and right to you, or is it in the words spoken by the Holy Spirit?  God’s word is just an extension of himself.  He is revealed in his word.  Are you running away from God?  I hope not for I can promise you he will find you in the Day of Judgment when you do not wish to be found.

Is Jesus God?

[ad_1]

Is Jesus God? That is a good question. Let’s start by looking at what Jesus claimed about himself.

So who did Jesus claim to be? His enemies understood him claim to be God. John 10:30-33 “I and the Father are one.” The Jews took up stones again to stone Him. Jesus answered them, “I showed you many good works from the Father; for which of them are you stoning Me?” The Jews answered Him, “For a good work we do not stone You, but for blasphemy; and because You, being a man, make Yourself out to be God.”

Here is Jesus’ response in verse 36-39 do you say of Him, whom the Father sanctified and sent into the world, ‘You are blaspheming,’ because I said, ‘I am the Son of God’? “If I do not do the works of My Father, do not believe Me; but if I do them, though you do not believe Me, believe the works, that you may know and understand that the Father is in Me, and I in the Father.” Therefore they were seeking again to seize Him, and He eluded their grasp.

So Jesus declared that he and the Father are one. The Jews understood this as a claim to be God. Jesus then calls himself the Son of God and then reaffirms his statement of “I and the father are one” So the question is did the Jews correctly understand what he meant. He called himself the Son of God, but did he also claim to be God? I believe the answer is yes he did claim to be God.

This comes out clear in John 20:28-29

“Thomas answered and said to Him, “My Lord and my God!” Jesus said to him, “Because you have seen Me, have you believed? Blessed are they who did not see, and yet believed.”

Thomas here called Jesus his Lord and God. Jesus being the teacher that he was should have rebuked or at least corrected Thomas. Certainly Jesus would not let this error or using the Lords name in vain, (as some have interpreted it) go by without some correction. Jesus’ answer to Thomas shows that Thomas was correct to call him his God and Lord.

Jesus not only claimed to be the Son of God and God one with the Father, but he also claimed to be the expected messiah foretold in the Old Testament.

John 4:25-26 .” The woman said to Him, “I know that Messiah is coming (He who is called Christ); when that One comes, He will declare all things to us.” Jesus said to her, “I who speak to you am He.”

Jesus often referred to himself as the Son of man. Matt 17:22-23 And while they were gathering together in Galilee, Jesus said to them, “The Son of Man is going to be delivered into the hands of men; and they will kill Him, and He will be raised on the third day. “And they were deeply grieved.

It is interesting that Jesus would call himself this since he was not a son of man in the way we often think. He was born of the Virgin Mary and by the Holy Spirit. Joseph was not his father. He was the Son of Man in two ways.

(1) As the Messiah being born through the family of David as well as, Jesse, Judah, Jacob, Isaac and Abraham as shown on page 3&4. This genealogy traces him through man. Both Mary and Joseph’s bloodline can be traced through these people.(Mt.1:1-16, Lk.3:23-38). This title “Messiah” is also applied to Jesus because the Messiah that was to come in Old Testament prophecy was called the Son of Man Dan.7:13-14

(2) Jesus is also seen as the Son of Man referring to his humanity, when God became a man.

Phil 2:5-8 Have this attitude in yourselves which was also in Christ Jesus, who, although He existed in the form of God, did not regard equality with God a thing to be grasped, but emptied Himself, taking the form of a bond-servant, and being made in the likeness of men. And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself by becoming obedient to the point of death, even death on a cross.

John 1:1 & 14 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. & in verse 14 And the Word became flesh, and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, glory as of the only begotten from the Father, full of grace and truth.

So how important is it to accept Jesus’ claims of who he is?According to Jesus it is very important,

John 8:24-25, “I said therefore to you, that you shall die in your sins; for unless you believe that I am He you shall die in your sins. “And so they were saying to Him, “Who are You?” Jesus said to them, “What have I been saying to you from the beginning?”

As we have already seen Jesus claimed to be the Messiah, God one with the Father and the Son of God. So he told them unless they accepted that this is who he was they would die in their sins. So what does it mean to die in your sins? It means to die and be separated from God. The Bible declares that those who are separated from God spend eternity in a place called Hell. Fortunately Eternal Life is a free gift. All you have to do to gain eternal life is accept Jesus and make him Lord of your Life.

(Mt.25:31-41, Jn.3:16-18, Rom.3:23, 1 Jn.1:10,  James 2:10, Mt.5:22, Eph.2:8-9, Lk.6:44-49)

Who does the Bible declare Jesus to be?

The church usually answers this question by referring to the Trinity. The Trinity is a title of a doctrine that the Bible teaches. Nelson’s Illustrated Bible Dictionary defines the Trinity as follows:

“The coexistence of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit in the unity of the Godhead (divine nature or essence). The doctrine of the trinity means that within the being and activity of the one God there are three distinct persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.”

Throughout the Bible we find that the Father, Son and Holy Spirit are all called God and all 3 posses the attributes of God. We also find that there is only one God. There are not 3 Gods in one. All 3 are also seen separate even though they are one God. Jesus is God the Son the 2nd person in the Trinity. One could write a lot on this subject but for here I only want to focus on Jesus.

The Bible calls Jesus God.

Isa 9:6  For a child will be born to us, a son will be given to us; and the government will rest on His shoulders; and His name will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Eternal Father, Prince of Peace.

Acts 20:28  “Be on guard for yourselves and for all the flock, among which the Holy Spirit has made you overseers, to shepherd the church of God which He purchased with His own blood.

According to this verse the church was purchased with whose blood?

Col 2:8-9 See to it that no one takes you captive through philosophy and empty deception, according to the tradition of men, according to the elementary principles of the world, rather than according to Christ. For in Him all the fullness of Deity dwells in bodily form,

I Jn 5:20 And we know that the Son of God has come, and has given us understanding, in order that we might know Him who is true, and we are in Him who is true, in His Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God and eternal life.

2 Pet 1:1 Simon Peter, a bondservant and apostle of Jesus Christ, to those who have received a faith of the same kind as ours, by the righteousness of our God and Savior, Jesus Christ:

Rev 1:7-8 Behold, He is coming with the clouds, and every eye will see Him, even those who pierced Him; and all the tribes of the earth will mourn over Him. Even so. Amen. “I am the Alpha and the Omega,” says the Lord God, “who is and who was and who is to come, the Almighty.”

Compare this with Rev 2:8 “And to the angel of the church in Smyrna write: The first and the last, who was dead, and has come to life,

Heb 1:8 But of the Son He says  “Thy throne, O God, is forever and ever, and the righteous scepter is the scepter of His kingdom.

Titus 2:13 Looking for the blessed hope and the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior, Christ Jesus;

Does Jesus posses the attributes of God?

We would expect God to be seen as Creator, Judge, Savior being able to forgive sins, omniscient- all knowing, omnipotent – all powerful, omnipresent – the ability to be everywhere at once, eternal having always existed, and worshipped. I will show all of these things can be found in Jesus Christ.

Jesus is Creator:

Col 1:13-16 For He delivered us from the domain of darkness, and transferred us to the kingdom of His beloved Son, in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins. And He is the image of the invisible God, the first-born of all creation. For by Him all things were created, both in the heavens and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities– all things have been created by Him and for Him.

(See also Jn.1:3, Heb.1:8-10, 1 Cor.8:6, Is.44:24)

Jesus is Judge: (see also 2 Tim. 4:1, Rom.14:10)

John 5:22 “For not even the Father judges anyone, but He has given all judgment to the Son,”

Jesus is Savior he can forgive sins: Mark 2:5

And Jesus seeing their faith said to the paralytic, “My son, your sins are forgiven.”

We can forgive someone for sinning against us, but we cannot forgive someone for sinning against God as Jesus did here. (See also Mk.2:10, Col.2:13)

Acts 5:30-31 “The God of our fathers raised up Jesus, whom you had put to death by hanging Him on a cross. “He is the one whom God exalted to His right hand as a Prince and a Savior, to grant repentance to Israel, and forgiveness of sins.

Jesus is Omniscient (all knowing or all wise):

1 Cor 1:24 to those who are the called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God and the wisdom of God.

Jesus is shown in the New Testament to have knowledge far beyond our human understanding. We do not know the heart of every man but in Jn. 2:24-25 it says Jesus knew all men and what was in man. In Jn.6:64 we are told Jesus knew from the beginning whom they were who did not believe, and who it was that would betray Him. Then in Jn.13:1 we find Jesus knew his hour had come to die and go to the Father. In Jn.16:30 the disciples said “Now we know that You know all things” Again in Jn.18:4 it says Jesus knew all the things that were about to happen to him. While Jesus was on the cross we are told he knew the Old Testament prophecies concerning him and our redemption had been fulfilled. Nobody else knew that at that time, yet, he did Jn.19:28. Peter declared that Jesus knew his heart and all things Jn.21:17. What man has ever had this kind of knowledge? This knowledge is far beyond even any of the prophets in the Bible. They may have foretold future events but none of them knew the heart and thoughts of every man. These are only a few examples that could be shown that Jesus knew such things.

Jesus is Omnipotent

(All powerful, unlimited authority):

Matt 28:18 And Jesus came up and spoke to them, saying, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth.

In the following references we find that Jesus will return with power. Power flowed through him to heal people who merely touched him. Jesus had power over demons. He was able to give power to his disciples to heal others. Peter declared there was power in Jesus name. Jesus is the power of God. It was through Jesus that Paul received power. Jesus has the power to subject everything unto himself. It is by his power that we will be raised from the dead. He upholds all things by the word of His power. Jesus has the keys i.e.. the power over death and Hades. The time will come when Jesus will abolish all other rule, authority and power. (See also Mk 13:26,5:30, Lk. 4:36, 6:19, 9:1, Acts 4:7-10, Rom.1:4, 1 Cor 1:24, 15:23-25, 2 Cor 12:9, Phil 3:20-21,Heb 1:3, 2 Pet 1:16, Rev 1:17-18)

Jesus is Omnipresent

(Present at all places at all times)

Matt 18:20, 28:20 Jesus said “For where two or three have gathered together in My name, there I am in their midst.” He also told his disciples “and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.”

Paul declared that Jesus dwells in the hearts of believers. Paul further stated if this is not true of an individual they do not belong to him. Rom.8:9.

(See also 2 Cor.13:5, Gal.2:20, Eph.3:17, Col.1:27, Rev.3:20)

Jesus is eternal (He has always existed)

Micah 5:2      “But as for you, Bethlehem Ephrathah, too little to be among the clans of Judah, from you One will go forth for me to be ruler in Israel. His goings forth are from long ago, from the days of eternity.”

(See also Jn.1:1-2, 17:5, 8:58, Rev.1:17,2:8, 22:13)

Jesus is worshipped: (See also Mt.2:2 & 8)( lamb on throne, Rev.4:10, 7:17, Jn.1:29-36)

Heb 1:6  And when He again brings the first-born into the world, He says, “And let all the angels of God worship Him.”

Matt 14:33 And those who were in the boat worshipped Him, saying, “You are certainly God’s Son!”                     (Worship belongs to God alone. Mt.4:10)

What did the Christians think in the 1st century after Jesus? Did they believe the same as what Christians teach today about Jesus?

The Christian’s in the first century would have a better understanding of what the writers of the New Testament actually meant. I say this because some of what are known as the Ante-Nicene Fathers personally knew the writers of the New Testament. For example Ignatius was a personal disciple of one or more of the original apostles. (This can be found in the book “A Dictionary of Early Christian Beliefs”) Therefore it stands to reason that, if we are interpreting the New Testament correctly our beliefs about who Jesus was should not have changed from what was believed about Jesus in the 1st century.

The following quotes can be found in The Ante-Nicene Fathers, Translations of the Writings of the Fathers down to AD 325, Rev. Alexander Roberts, D.D., and James Donaldson, LL.D., editors, (Grand Rapids, Michigan: Wm. B. Eerdmans Publishing Company) 1989. These have been copied from the CD ROM available through Logos.

Ignatius was the head of the church of Antioch. (Died A.D.110) He studied under the original Apostles.

The epistle of Ignatius to the Romans chapter 3.”

For our God, Jesus Christ, now that He is with the Father, is all the more revealed in His glory. Christianity is not a thing of silence only, but also of manifest greatness.

Justin Martyr is recognized to be one of the most important Christian writers A.D.110-166.

The first Apology of Justin chapter 63.

“the Father of the universe has a Son; who also, being the first-begotten Word of God, is even God. And of old He appeared in the shape of fire and in the likeness of an angel to Moses and to the other prophets; but now in the times of your reign, having, as we before said, become Man by a virgin, according to the counsel of the Father, for the salvation of those who believe on Him, He endured both to be set at nought and to suffer, that by dying and rising again He might conquer death. And that which was said out of the bush to Moses, “I am that I am, the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob, and the God of your fathers,”

(See Exodus 3:1-6, Mk.12:18-31)

There are many other quotes that could be brought up and things that could be said, but this should be adequate for our purpose.

THE TRUE PROPHET OF GOD

[ad_1]

To many the word NEWS has a wide range of definitions depending on the understanding of the word and its relevant application, especially to professional journalists around the world. When a story comes to the knowledge of the public, it is expected that it must have gone through a thorough analysis and check by the relevant authorities. Then comes the part that ensures that all involved parties in the news are given a fair sense of hearing so that both sides of the story are not only heard but the final story that is released to the public allows for them to make an informed conclusion.

When these above stated guidelines are disregarded, a major part of the ethics of the profession of journalism can be said to have been thrown out of the window. In most cases where it occurs, it appears to be that the writer is doing the bidding of a party to the story; to ensure that only one side is heard, and carry out an agenda; in most cases to bring disrepute to the other party of the story.

Without any form of doubt, when this continually occurs and become a trend, it then calls for concern and worry. It becomes obvious to all that a grand conspiracy to pull down the affected individual or body at all cost is in place. Again, it could be that certain practises of the involved individual are not completely understandable to the other party or perhaps they do not intend to come to terms with their mode of operation. Worst of all is if the said individual is a servant of God. Such a person should obviously be allowed to make their claims and then get the judgement that follows from their Creator.

As a person with no particular interest and inclination to the most persecuted Man of God that I have seen in recent times, Prophet TB Joshua, from Nigeria, I can say without any fear that the way and manner that the media has constantly attacked the Man has called for my writing this article. As a professional writer I have found myself constantly having to do follow ups on religious activities and their leaders around the world. I can boldly say that I have a complete dossier of different men of God which include their background, practises, habits, doctrines, etc.

It should be noted that I will never hold forth for any Prophet of God or even criticize their works as I believe strongly in the Almighty God and the fact that He is the all knowing, the only One who cannot be deceived by any living being born of a woman. I will only try to ask certain questions and then leave you to give answers to them and in so doing help yourself to take a well informed position regarding prophets of God such as TB Joshua. The questions go thus:

1. Who is prophet of God?
2. What is the role of the Prophet in the church?

3. How will one know a true prophet of God?
4. Are there any qualifications required to be a prophet?

Let us try to give answers to this questions one after the other.

1. Who is a Prophet of God?
In Exodus 7.1, God assigned roles to Moses and Aaron,

• Moses was to function as “God” to Pharaoh
• Aaron was to function as the prophet of Moses
Based on Exodus 7.1, we can arrive at the following conclusion,

• The job that a prophet does for God is the same job that God assigned Aaron to do for Moses.

So the Lord said to Moses: “See, I have made you as God to Pharaoh, and Aaron your brother shall be your prophet.” Ex 7.1

In Exodus 4.16, God said that Aaron would function as “spokesman to the people” on behalf of Moses.

As shown by Exodus 7.1 (above), God assigned Aaron the job of serving Moses in the same manner as a prophet serves God.

Based on Exodus 7.1 and 4.16, we can arrive at the following Bible definition,

A prophet is any person who serves as God’s spokesman to the people.

(God told Moses, ) “So he (Aaron) shall be your spokesman to the people. And he himself shall be as a mouth for you, and you shall be to him as God.” Ex 4.16

2. What is the role of the Prophet in the church?

Zechariah 1.6 gives the following information,

• A prophet is a servant of God
• A prophet speaks forth the words and commands (“statutes”) that he or she receives from God

• (God said, ) “Yet surely My words and My statutes, which I commanded My servants the prophets (to speak forth), did they not overtake your fathers?” Zech 1.6a

Second Peter 1.21 gives the following information,

• A prophet is a holy man of God
• A prophet speaks for God as he or she is moved (Greek: phero) by the Holy Spirit

for prophecy never came by the will of man, but holy men of God spoke as they were moved (phero) by the Holy Spirit. 2 Pet 1.21

phero — “to bear, carry,” is rendered “moved” in 2 Pet. 1:21, signifying that they were “borne along,” or impelled, by the Holy Spirit’s power, not acting according to their own wills, or simply expressing their own thoughts, but expressing the mind of God in words provided and ministered by Him.

3. How will one know a true prophet of God?
a. Acts 2:17-18, “And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams: And on my servants and on my handmaidens I will pour out in those days of my Spirit; and they shall prophesy:”

Age makes NO difference in being a prophet.
b. 2 Peter 1:21, “For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.” A true Prophet only prophecy in the name of the Lord. He only seeks to glorify the Lord. He will never seek glory to himself. NEVER!

c. 2 Peter 1:20, “Knowing this first that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation.”

A true Prophet NEVER gives his private interpretation. He only shares what the Lord reveals. Scripture defines Scripture, not man.

d. Jeremiah 28:9, “The prophet which prophesieth of peace, when the word of the prophet shall come to pass, then shall the prophet be known, that the LORD hath truly sent him.”

A true Prophet will be 100% accurate. There is absolutely no margin for error.

e. Deuteronomy 18:21-22, “And if thou say in thine heart, How shall we know the word which the LORD hath not spoken? When a prophet speaketh in the name of the LORD, if the thing follows not, nor come to pass, that is the thing which the LORD hath not spoken, but the prophet hath spoken it presumptuously: thou shalt not be afraid of him.”

The true Prophet of the Lord predicts that which does come to pass. If the Prophet’s predictions fail, they are exposed as NOT of God.

4. Are there any qualifications required to be a true prophet of God?

There are no external and/or educational qualifications required to be a true prophet of God. God does as he wills. He can decide to choose the least of men as His prophet. Perhaps the only criteria is willingness on the part of the Prophet. Prophets as recorded in the Holy Bible where recorded to have presented themselves to God, on ordination.

With proper understanding of the above answers to questions earlier asked, it beats my imagination to see people take up positions on issues concerning prophets of God, most times without even attempting to make a first hand analysis of the involved persons. Thanks to the fact that I will never hold forth for any prophet, lot less TB Joshua, who I have never met, and do not intend to meet in the foreseeable future, I will not bother to write about some of his enviable activities and actions in my possession thanks to my dossier. I believe that I will serve as a means of selling him to the world and my readers.

My advice to individuals and the world a large is very simple: A prophet of God is a sacred position of authority, bestowed by God on his select few, for no particular reason other than the fact that He has deliberately chosen them to carry out His assignments. Touch the anointed of God. Even when there are reasons to criticize them, caution should be exercised. Let God, who they claim to represent, be the Final judge.

Tips For Growing The Flowering Dogwood Tree

[ad_1]

When it comes to picking the trees to contribute to the landscape, it is great to be able to plant flowering trees to add color at eye level and one popular choice is the flowering dogwood tree.

Dogwood trees, or the European Cornels as others would designate it, create a perfect impact to the environment. They are good choice for your landscape as their brilliant blossoms tend to last long. They are especially wonderful sight during autumn. On the average, a dogwood tree can grow from 20 to 25 feet in height. The spread of the dogwood can also reach as wide as 15 to 20 feet.

The dogwood is part of the Cornaceae family, under the Cornus genus. It is known as the provincial flower of British Columbia in Canada and the state flower of Virginia, USA.

The flowering dogwood trees generally have glossy green color. It has distinct opposite leaves, but there can be found some branches with the alternate order. All species of the dogwood bear fruits that have one or two seeds in it. On the other hand, the flowers of the dogwood have four parts. They usually come in clusters of yellow or white. They are also surrounded by greenish bracts that can be mistaken as petals.

There is a popular story for the flowering dogwood tree. It was said to be the wood used to build the cross for the crucifixion of Christ due to its towering characteristic and hardwood. The tree then won the favour of God that it was turned into a smaller tree with gnarled and twisted trunks so that it will not be used again for that dire purpose. It was also given white flowers resembling the cross. The center area of the flower is reddish and is regarded as a symbol for the blood of Jesus.

Dogwood trees are often used as ornaments. Nowadays, dogwoods can be found along water ways where they best give a natural effect to the landscape. The most favorite choice for this purpose are the species with bright yellow or red stems.

The term dogwood is actually a variation of the word ‘dagwood.’ This latter term is actually used to describe the slender stems that are characteristic of hard wood used for making daggers or skewers. This type of wood is also considered very useful in making tools, shuttles and other pieces that need strong wood.

Dogwoods also bear fruits in bright and cherry red colors. These are very much loved by the birds. Most of the fruits in the genus where dogwood belongs are edible, though they are not found very favorable because it does not contain much flavor. Some berries can only be feasted on by birds as they are toxic to humans.

Cultivating Flowering Dogwood Trees

There are certain considerations to ensure that you grow well a healthy and blooming dogwood tree in your yard. Here are some points to take note of.

1. Characteristic of the Soil

The dogwood can very well adapt to the different soil types that can provide it with basic nutrients. They can thrive in alkaline, acidic, loamy, sandy, clay or drought tolerant soils.

Problems may arise if the dogwood is not given the proper conditions needed. At the least, it is preferable to provide soils that are rich in nutrients and well-drained after sufficient water supply.

2. Enemy Pests

The Dogwood Borer is the main enemy of this flowering tree. This is most common in areas of the United States and Canada. They can cause damage by thriving in the bark of the trees to feast on its tissues.

This pest will cause the tree to grow slowly or at the worst, kill it. Make sure this pests are prevented properly.

3. Preventing Diseases

The flowering dogwood is also susceptible to the disease brought by dogwood anthracnose. The fungus Discula destructiva causes the devastation of the flowers before they can bloom.

There are many things in nature that we can enjoy. One of its clear proofs is the flowering dogwood tree. So make sure you get to enjoy it in your own garden. Bring nature closer to home.
